If you feel that you wanted to react on the following post, feel free to tag or place a comment, and please no anonymous names please. So much for that, anyway, defining friendship may lead you into different meanings, but there is one specific meaning I would want to emphasize, that is trust. I think this element holds the friendship down to its very foundation. If trust is broken, the friendship will crumble. Then again, why am I saying all of this? Recently, I had a dispute with some of my friends. One is blaming me for being the reason why she hated my other friend. Because of the one phrase that I have said which I clarified to her that is not 100% sure. Now, they became friends again, but my friend used my phrase as the reason why she hated my other friend. Now that is a very pathetic excuse and very unfair on my part. Come on, the reason why you hated her is because of our Dean. Stop using me as an escape goat on your lame excuses and tell her the truth. On my other friend's part, you didn't even hear my side of the story and you concluded that it was all my fault. Well i'm very sorry that you are judgemental, I fought for you all this time and this is what you think of me? As for other people involved that wan't involved on the first place, stop taking sides and try to be on the middle of the situation. you didn't even asked me if the allegations were true or not. And you call yourselves friends, how pathetic. For my so called close friends, I always put my ass on the line just to set things straight between your enemies so that we could live peacefully, when It's my time for a helping hand, You'll just ignore it and forget about it. Gee, thanks!I know you all wanted to hate me more because of this post, I don't give a damn. Posted by Siopao Master @ 9:59 PM Microsoft Vista Won't Have WinFS  With all of Microsoft's delays in delivering Vista, they still insisted that they would not be jettisoning any features in order to cut the development time. With the news that WinFS will not be released as a part of Vista, it seems that there are some features taking a hit. WinFS was supposed to be a unifying file system that would allow all files to be in the same format. It was hailed as one of the cornerstones of Vista. To have it removed is certainly disappointing. They say that they will build part of it into their SQL server database, but that is of use to a very limited audience. Gates has already relinquished the title of Chief Software Architect to former Chief Technical Officer Ray Ozzie and he plans to give up all of his other day to day responsibilities within the company by 2008. He will retain the title of Chairman and be involved with major decisions after that time. This was a hard decision for me,” Gates added. “I’m very lucky to have two passions that I feel are so important and so challenging. Posted by Siopao Master @ 11:41 PM Microsoft Senior Vice President Bob Muglia was recently quoted in a speech at TechEd 2006 as saying that Windows Vista is the most secure OS in the industry. There is no doubt that Microsoft has made security a major priority with Vista given the problems that XP has had over the years. As BetaNews points out "Windows Vista is the first operating system from Microsoft to be built from the ground up using the SDL development model. Every bit of code is scrutinized for Common Criteria Certification and security compliance checkpoints must be met along the way." There are also a myrad of other improvments, many of which are outlined on the Microsoft Vista website. Still, Muglia's statement will undoubtedly prove to be more of a publicity stunt than reality. The bottom line is that the most popular OS will always be the least secure - that is to say that hackers the world over will spend every waking moment looking for ways to exploit the software. The critical patches — so called because they address problems deemed to pose the highest threat in Microsoft's security warning system — all are designed to prevent an attacker from taking control of another person's computer without that user's permission. The Redmond, Wash.-based software maker also released three patches rated "important" and one that was rated "moderate." (Nasdaq:YHOO - news), the world's largest provider of e-mail services, said on Monday that a software virus aimed at Yahoo Mail users had infected "a very small fraction" of its base of more than 200 million accounts The e-mail virus, or worm, has been dubbed Yamanner and landed in Yahoo mailboxes bearing the headline "New Graphic Site." Once opened, the message infects the computer and spreads to other users listed in Yahoo users' e-mail address books, security experts said. The e-mail containing the virus need only be opened -- in contrast to most worms that are hidden in attachments and require users to take an additional step -- to release the virus, according to computer security site Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC - news). The Sunnyvale, California-based company advised users to update virus and firewall software on their computers and to block any e-mail sent from the address "av3@yahoo.com." "We have taken steps to resolve the issue and protect our users from further attacks of this worm," Yahoo spokeswoman Kelley Podboy said in a statement. "When we learn of e-mail abuse, such as a worm or other online threat, we take appropriate action," she said. "(A) solution has been automatically distributed to all Yahoo Mail customers, and requires no additional action on the part of the user." Yamanner, first detected by Yahoo and major computer anti-virus software makers earlier on Monday, was ranked as having a low threat level by Trend Micro Inc. (Nasdaq:TMIC - news) and McAfee Inc. (NYSE:MFE - news) But Symantec considers the worm an "elevated threat," one step up from the lowest ranking in terms of relative danger. Symantec's Security Response site suggested Yahoo Mail users might protect themselves by upgrading to the latest test version of the recently upgraded Yahoo Mail software. "The worm cannot run on the newest version of Yahoo Mail Beta," Symantec's site said. A Yahoo spokesman was not immediately available to comment on whether the company advised users to do this. The worm exploits a vulnerability in Javascript technology used to make the mail program easier to use by triggering embedded HTML scripts to run in the computer user's browser. The e-mail addresses are also sent to a remote online computer server, which may be used to run spam campaigns, experts said. The technical name of the worm goes by variants of "JS.Yamanner." Illacme plenipes has up to 750 legs and is found in a tiny area of San Benito County in California, US. Of the 10,000 species of millipede described, I. plenipes comes the closest to possessing the 1,000 legs that its name would suggest. Scientists, writing in the journal Nature, highlight the need to protect its fragile habitat. A colony of the leggy millipedes was first spotted in 1926, but despite numerous efforts to re-locate the creatures, I. plenipes remained elusive. "When I learned about the leggiest millipedes, I thought this would be a great organism to find," said lead author Paul Marek, a PhD student from East Carolina University, North Carolina. Mr Marek set off, with his brother in tow, armed with vague geographical information from 1920s research and topographical maps to see if they could pinpoint the mysterious animal. "My brother and I were looking around and we both spotted it at the same moment. It was just staggering," he said. Over the course of three field trips, researchers unearthed 12 of these cream-coloured, leggy arthropods - a class of creatures with segmented bodies and jointed legs that includes spiders, insects and crustaceans. The captured females were found to have between 662-666 legs, over 170 segments and measured about 33mm (1.3in) long. The males, in comparison, were about half of the females' length with between 318 and 402 legs. All of the specimens measured a thread-like 0.57mm (0.02in) in width. The scientists believe the varying lengths are explained by the fact that millipedes continue to grow additional segments and legs even after they have reached sexual maturity - so the 750-legged millipede found in 1926 may have been an older specimen. The millipedes also showed some other unusual features when examined more closely. "We looked at them under a scanning electron microscope and we found a very complex and intricate morphology, including spikes and spines, and also the presence of setae (a type of bristle) on the back of the millipedes that secrete this silk-like substance," Mr Marek said. "These were found on every segment on their backs, and we have no idea what this silk does." I. plenipes is only thought to exist in a 0.8sq km (0.3sq mile) area of the biodiversity hotspot California Floristic Province. The team has called for urgent protection of the rare creature's fragile habitat. But the researchers say the species' location may also point to clues about its past. Other closely related species belonging to the same family as I. plenipes, Siphonorhinidae, are found in other narrow geographical ranges in southeastern Africa, Sumatra, Indo-Burma, Sumatra, Malaysia and Java. First, I found out that I would not get my salary this coming payday due to problems in my papers. Next, we have an incentive leave that came from our hardship last graduation day, but, I cannot have that privilege because I'm not included in the summary list. Then, I found out that a close friend of mine is angry at me. Sometimes I do things not thinking about the consequences that would occur after it. I unintentinally hurt the feelings of the people who are dear to me. I am very sorry for all the mistakes that I've done to my friends. They gave me companionship, love and support and this is all I give in return. I know that there is an invisible crack on the friendship ring, but I will do my best to patch that crack, so that it won't turn into something that will crumble the very essence of our friendship. I love my friends, and I will do everything to make them happy, I know that is not enough to thank them for what they have done to me. Kudos to my friends for making me a strong person. Hands-on experience with a product is necessary to successfully achieve certification. (Source: Microsoft.com) Why are there people who passed the MCP exams brag something that they never possess in the first place?. Come on, they only passed the exam because they memorized the questions on a "simulated" MCP exam. If you test their so-called "skills" in an actual network problem, they will just stare at the problem and ask themselves "Where the heck is the multiple choice?" (Whapak!) Some people who become total assholes because of this certification which in the first place not worthy for them. Come on, You don't even know what is "ghosting" shame on you! Yo even put up a banner with your name on it but you failed to include the version of your MCP which is Windows 2000...wait, it is already 2006! According to Microsoft itself, Windows 2000 halted their support for your OS like a year ago! (You don't believe me?) So where the hell is your bragging rights?
