Hate that I love You

It's been like eternity since she erased me in her world. But why am I still in love with her? Why do I still think about her at night, remember her on times of loneliness. Why am I still hoping for her love when she already killed me in her heart?

Earth Hour 2008

Earth Hour 2008 is only hours away before the scheduled global event and the majority of Filipino people aren't aware of it.

Lack of advertising isn't an issue here, the event was posted all over the metro but the people aren't even reading it. Are we depending only to television advertisement? We know what's happening in Pinoy Big Brother, we know who's Gretchen Baretto bitching now but we are not aware of the global movement. It really saddens me to know some people are not sensitive to taking care of our Mother Earth.

So what's Earth Hour anyway? It's turning off your lights for 60 mins. (1 hour) to conserve energy. This is a way to help our dying planet.

Sandara Park kisses T.O.P. on new Gummy Video

After her exodus last August. Sandara Park finally seen the limelight once again in South Korea. She was partnered with T.O.P. who came from the group Big Bang. Details after the jump.

R&B artist, Gummy (a.k.a. Gumi or Spider) has returned to the Korean scene with another ballad. Discovered during her freshmen year of high school, her seven year training paid off. Since her debut with YG Entertainment, she remained one of the most truthful artists in Korea- never following the Kpop scene. Because she was too good for Big Mama, YG's President decided to make her a solo artist.
She had a long hiatus because of her unsuccessful crossover to the Japanese market, hoping to follow Se7en's semi-success. Though she's been 'forgotten' every time she's not promoting, she always manages to hit us with another powerful note in each song. During the recording of her new album, Comfort in 2007, she renewed her contract with YG Family and has been featured in Big Bang's LIES (Koh Ji Mal).

Her new long awaited Music Video from her new album, featuring Big Bang's T.O.P. kissing Sandara Park.

Idiots plague the net

I've been away like just three days away on vacation and I was bombarded by messages from my friends that my site was being attacked by idiots. Details after the jump

It all started when I first posted the story about the Tierra Maria Estate scam hoax which many would agree that Tim Cumper really needs psychological attention. I was mentioned on his blog entry as a supporter of scammers. Gee, I don't know what to say, thanks for visiting my site Tim! You can ask your friend Jim to track down my IP so that he again can prove that he is the beeesst techie guy on Earth. Another thing, some guy just keeps on posting on my chat box since I featured Janina San Miguel here on my site. Maybe he/she is a supporter of some sort? He/She is accusing me of copy-pasting stuff here which clearly I quoted beforhand and indicated the source. I think he/she doesn't know how things work here over the net. Anyway, these idiots are plaguing the net for quite some time now. I wonder how are they reproducing? They're infesting the blogosphere, the forums and even those social networking sites like Friendster. How on Earth can we get rid of those idiots? It seems the supply of Iodized salt is depleting.

Janina San Miguel's extreme under arm confidence

It's been over a week since the people are talking about that Binibining Pilipinas 2008 - World winner Janina San Miguel. Talk about engrish overload and extreme confidence. The story after the jump

The picture on the left depicts a person with extreme underarm and face confidence, her name is Janina San Miguel. If you see her on the streets, stay away from her at all cost. She's armed and dangerous. She'll make your ears bleed because of her stupidity and extreme confidence.

You have been warned!

video courtesy of Jepoy

Admit it, her English is very poor, but that's mild compared to her answer to the actual question. Come on, she never reached the gaddam point! The question was "What role did your family play to you as candidate to Binibining Pilipinas?". She answered dumbly with:

Well, my family’s role for me is so important becoz there was the wa- they’re, they was the one who’s …. very… Haha .… Oh I’m so sorry, uhmm …. My pamily .… My pamily .… Oh my god …. Ok, I’m so sorry .… I .… I told you that I’m so confident .… Eto, uhhmm, Wait .… Hahahahaha, uhmmm, Sorry guys becoz this was really my first pageant ever becoz I’m only 17 years old and ahahaha I, I did not expect that I came from, I came from one of the tough 10. Hmmm, so .… but I said that my family es the most important persons in my life. Thank you.

I can't believe she's the representative of our country in Miss World 2008! Are Filipina women now have all beauty but no brains at all?! Don't we have any choice at all? Is she our last bet? No wonder her high school alma mater Ernesto Rondon and college University of the East isn't proud of her. Take note, she's taking up Mass Communications!? Shit...

Some girl hates blogging...who cares?

The following is an article written by Malu Fernandez, who doesn't like bloggers like me. Read the whole article and decide for yourself if she really has a point or she's just talking crap

The problem with blogging....
By Malu Fernandez
Just this morning I got a text telling me to check out some blog with juicy gossip about the so called “Gucci Gang” curiously enough I logged on and read all the gossip and juicy details. Whether or not the stories were true I didn’t really care to find out nor do I care to be involved. It makes no difference in my life who did what to whom it was just a leisure gossip read and I was just one of the many people who read the blog but halfway through I became quite disturbed as it made me reminiscent of the numerous blogs I was once the hot topic of.
Before I go any further I must stress the point that this is not about my previous issue, but simply the point of view of someone who has been a victim of vicious blogging and blogging as a new communication medium. To those of you who are mass/volume or dense (that’s the physics formula for density to those who are clueless) again, I repeat this is not a reaction toward my past actions.
So let me continue, first of all I believe in the freedom of speech. By all means say what you need to say. Unfortunately for most of the bloggers without advertising you get paid nothing. If in fact you do get paid then hooray for you. But blogging, aside from Perez Hilton and the other big time bloggers (you know who you are) is for me a slacker job or a medium and pastime for lonely people to connect. (*taas kilay) Unless you’re in bloody Siberia or in a Gulag prison, try stepping outside your comfort zone and turn off the laptop or pc, you just might find some real live people to talk to instead of typing away in cyber space.
On the flipside blogging can be a good source of information and a great way to exchange ideas. This I strongly encourage whether it is about politics, fashion, food or whatever topic you may choose. Friendly and healthy discussions are always great. (yes.)
The difference between a journalist and a blogger is that journalists have to adhere to certain guidelines that govern the freedom of speech. And whatever a journalist chooses to write about—be it popular or unpopular—we do not hide behind an anonymous name and are resigned to the fact that we have to take as much as we dish out. However, I simply detest people who place vicious comments and slanderous statements in blogs yet sign their messages as ‘anonymous.’ If you have something to say, don’t hide behind a false name. It’s just plain cowardice of you to do so. (dami nito sa I have more of a deep sense of respect for those—however unpopular or vicious their statements are—who post their views with their real names and make no bones about it. At least they stand for something; I would rather take it from them than the cowards that hide behind false names.
Perhaps it is the Filipino culture to foster backstabbing because they never mean what they say face to face. Just how many times have you dealt with co-workers who will smile in your face when you ask them to perform a task or engage in just plain conversation, when in fact they are quite uncomfortable with the situation and are forced to do what they absolutely detest with a smiling face. I guess it’s the kind of culture brought about by 300 years of Spanish colonization. To one particular blogger of Spanish descent but with an Indio face, don’t act like a peninsulares and quote Spanish words from the generation of your abuelita... jeez and they call me elitist. The Spanish rule is over, get over yourself and your Español relatives who used to have power... but I digress (oops, my bad...) Let’s move forward.
It’s just like all this hullabaloo about ousting GMA. You deposed ERAP in Edsa Dos. Now you’re unhappy with his replacement. Make up your minds. (For the record I’m not pro anybody I’m pro whatever lesser evil is out there). You can’t overthrow one president then decide you made a mistake with your second choice. (yes. i agree.) It’s not like buying a green Hermes bag and suddenly deciding, oops I should have gotten the black one instead. Unfortunately that’s the kind of nation we have become, a bunch of wishy-washy whiners who whine about everything under the sun and found the blog sphere to be the new medium for whining. Yes we do what we have to do as a nation to get things done and stop corruption and evil (I’m all for that) but we never seem to be happy with what we have, hence the complaining and whining. It just never stops.
I suppose I started some kind of trend by eliciting nasty comments and reactions via blog because of my indiscretion. But it seems to be a comfortable medium for people to vent their anger on just about everything they disagree with. I have been called an irresponsible journalist so what does that make you? (ouch?) It is easy to hide under the guise of anonymity you can say just about anything you want because you have no repercussions to deal with. It’s easy to hide behind a false moniker isn’t it?
Just a thought to ponder on... Maybe I should start an anonymous blog and really let go... but then again I don’t want to be responsible for World War Three and I would sleep much better being brutally honest in your face than hide behind an anonymous name. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if I started a blog just to shake things up and got a ton of money in advertising? If I do decide to do that I thank you all in advance for inspiring me… I’m always a glass half full kinda girl anyway...

My Big Love

Yeah yeah I know, call me corny if you want. I love the movie and it kinda pierced me right where it hurts. I know romantic movies just make you wish life could be that good and love is strong, and all that crap but hey, this movie made me warm inside and made me remember the good times I shared with the person I loved(take note..past tense!)I admit, I still love her,but she already erased me in her life for good. *sigh*

Ziff-Davis going on bankruptcy

Ziff Davis Media, publishers of EGM, Games for Windows Magazine, and, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today, had a $390 million in debt. Details after the jump

Jason Young, CEO of Ziff Davis Media, framed it this way:
"Today's restructuring agreement goes a long way towards resolving the burdens of a debt load and capital structure established seven years ago, during a leveraged buyout of the company."

For those not in the know, chapter 11 just means they're down, but not necessarily out -- Apparently when the company anticipates emerging from bankruptcy later this summer it'll have whittled down its debt to under $60m, having given up nearly 90% of the company's equity to its private creditors.

Microsoft extends production of Windows XP until June 2008

Microsoft planned to phase-out Windows XP last January 30 but it was extended up to June 2008 in response to feedback from computer manufacturers who said that there were customers who still wanted to buy the older operating system. More after the jump

Mike Nash, a Microsoft corporate vice president, was quoted as saying that the company was "a little ambitious to think that it would need to make Windows XP available for only a year after the release of Windows Vista," referring to the fact that it typically makes its older OS available for two years after the launch of a new one.

Also, this gave Vista Business / Ultimate customers a "downgrade to XP" option amidst complaints over its latest operating system

Foreigner needs psychological treatment

An article which had been circulating over the blogosphere for some time now, who's writer is suspected to be suffering from ADD or maybe worse, is considered as a hoax. Yes, I repeat, the Tierra Maria Estates Scam is a Hoax

note: the person on the pic is not Tim, that person still looks human, unlike Tim who looks like Zordon from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

The article is about a foreigner who was claiming that the whole Filipino community is scamming him. A little bit sarcastic, but the situation is heading in that direction anyway. Everyone who are against his "carefully constructed drama" are considered part of that scam (click here for the complete story). Oh please, if you know Timothy Ellis Cumper, if you still love that person, or you love humanity, take him to a psychologist, an expert one if you can, so that he can be treated. If you are generous enough, take his friend Jim also. This guy is suffering from delusion. He thinks that he's the greatest geek on Earth, which is an insult to geeks BTW. Again, save the world by saving Timothy Ellis Cumper, or better yet, save humanity.

Unsung Heroes of the IT Industry

I just came from Microsoft Philippines and attended a seminar organized by PHIWUG regarding the Unified Communication. Microsoft's vision of a centralized communication scheme wherein you can access your email, calendar, anything that is part of your work, anywhere, anytime.

This seminar was a success thanks to the guys at PHIWUG, who painstakingly planned, organized and executed this event. They even had a real-time operation of Office Communications Server 2007 and Office Communicator 2007 by acting a skit of a day-to-day work scenario. BTW, some of the members of PHIWUG were awarded by Microsoft as a MVP or Most Valuable Professional.

Here is a list of some MVPs

Here are some pics from the seminar.
