Christ's Resurrection: A Geek's POV

The faithful celebrates Easter Sunday today or better known as the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Catholic faith regard this as the triumph of Christ over death. But what is this to a geek? With science and technology constantly contradicting the teachings of the Church, how will a geek believe? Geeks with scientific reasoning will become skeptic. Maybe a phoenix down was used? Maybe it was a fake death? Maybe there was no resurrection? All these questions can shake the foundation of an individual's faith. If you watch either Discovery or National Geographic today, you'll see lots of scientists performing scientific experiments just to determine if the miracle of Christ was true. Will the Catholic faith still believe if the resurrection was proven false?

But then again, Why do millions of people still believe? Why for almost two thousand years, the faith is still there? Why do we still celebrate the tradition? Why do we still pray if we are in dire need of help? Why do countless number of martyrs fought for this belief? In the end, the faith is determined each and everyone of us. It is up to you, who ever you are, what ever you do, to believe it.
