Don't Mess with my Mom!
Never mess with my mom, story after the jump!
Ok, my mom was about to pay the fee for July 2008 for Fitness First when the cashier told her that she haven't paid for the moth of June because the payment was adjusted due to the fact that we didn't paid for October 2007..take note..October 2007. How the hell we failed to pay for that said month? We were paying in CASH, gaddamit! If we failed to pay on the said month, we failed to pay on the succeeding months! My mom went into Berserker Rrage and killed all the cashiers....no seriously, she shouted at the cashier for being stupid, for in the first place, we DID pay for October 2007 (we had a receipt) and transferring our May 2008 payment to October 2007 without our consent really ticked her off. Fitness First is really Business First

Kinda sleepy lately
For the past couple of weeks I've been sleepy. Even though I went to bed early, I always wake up and felt still sleepy. They told it was the "paglilihi" effect. You see my buddy a work is pregnant and I was the one always with her. Don't know if these things are true or there's a scientific explanation to this. Damn, I've drank 2 cups of coffee already and still sleepy

Game FAQS
I was strolling on SM San Lazaro today with my students and I came across a store named after or the same as the leading site for game information named GameFAQS. Now, why would I name my shop as GameFAQS wherein FAQS means Frequently Asked Questions?

Finally blogged about something!
I didn't go to work today so I had a chance to go on an adventure. I wanted to go to the gym and Tristan suggested that we try Fitness First MoA (Mall of Asia). and this entry my friend, is the things I saw with my very own eyes during the adventure. Here we go:

Lookie here! It's my alma mater's / former work's advertisement! Sarah Geronimo is teh bomb! Really, innocent looking and all...err..let's continue.

Finally I arrived at Fitness First MoA branch. All I can say is, it is waaay better than the one on The Block. Admit it, Fitness First The Block's name should be changed to Business First. Almost a year ago, I enjoyed exercising there, but now, lot's and lot's of member everywhere! Maybe I should relocate to MoA?

It's Buddha'a birthday today! uber coolness! and not just that! They even have a mascot of Buddha himself! Why can't we have a mascot of Jesus?
 (just zoom-in BTW, camphone only!)

We headed back to Trinoma to watch The Forbidden Kingdom, coz it's a lot cheaper to watch in Trinoma..'nuff said. You can read my review here.

Yes look at these two boys here! look how happy they are!
Oh wait it's over? Till next time!

A very weird dream
I had a weird dream last night about my best friend. It's weird because I haven't thought of her for a while now and suddenly she pops out of my dream. Here' how the dream goes:
I was hanging around a place I am not familiar with. It is an open area with a cemented flooring. I was sitting on a cemented bench (much like those found on my high school catwalk, but not quite) So anyway, someone approached me as I was lingering on my thoughts, and guess what? It was my best friend who went to Saudi last February. She came back, and I was happy to see her and I was having the best time of my life. Then someone texted me and I was distracted for a second and just that my best friend's gone beside me. I went looking for her and found her talking to the person I loved before...her close friend and the one I loved. I talked to them and told them that the one who texted me was the one I'm in love now. When I spoke those words, they both smiled and I just woke up..an hour before my alarm clock is scheduled to ring!

Two days adventure
Started on the block as me and Neo waited for Pol before going to Shera's house. Then headed to Neo's place.
On the following morning, we treked Bulacan to enjoy the sights (I'm the only one enjoying). Then headed to SM Marilao so I can taste the pride of Marilao, the roti a.k.a. coffe bun (I just said that but this food is not exclusive to Marilao)and ate some rice in a box. Then headed back to Manila to play Dota on Itlogerz and Neo and Pol now ended up on my place to wait for the book launch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

What a way to start July
I woke up this morning feeling that a huge elephant is sitting on my head.
It is the first day of the month and there's an excrutiating pain on my head, add some running nose and some dry cough. My morning's perfect. I tried to get up but to no avail. The pain is searing on my head like Harry Potter sensing Voldemort. I was planning to watch my beloved friends the AMA Dance Troop compete on the dance showdown hosted by Fitness First but my health is more important. I lay on my bed the whole day sleeping..sleeping..and sleeping. mom baught me a Champ from Jollibee and I ate it heartily when I woke up and now I'm sitting here in front of my desktop thinking..Damn I need a laptop hehehe

Every beginning has an ending
This week was the saddest week of my life, although it concluded the question on my mind of what could be the outcome, will the good prevail or will the evil triumph?
Last Monday, Proposal Daisakusen aired its final episode. As I watched the final episode, I really really felt the pain and frustration of the protagonist Iwase Ken as his futile attempt to win back his love ended in vain. It's true that a good story can change your life or it may just touch it. Proposal Daisakusen just did that, it made me realize what I have done wrong to the woman I love and I'm facing the consequences of my actions. I failed, miserably and there's no way I can correct it again. How I wish a fairy will appear to me now so that I can change the past, but too bad, there's nothing I can do know, she wouldn't want me even as a friend. Life sucks, live with it.
BTW, Death Note also aired its last episode last night. It really showed good always prevail. I do hope it will happen too in real life, the evil (back stabbers and "plastic" people) will perish and peace will be restored in my life.

School Hopping
I never thought that today will be a long busy day
My original plan is to go to Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU) to apply for a teaching position. So I went there early, eager to show them greeeaat teacher siopao hehehe. Too bad they did not appreciate my prepared power point presentation due to the fact that they didn't have a usb slot to plug my flash drive in. After the teaching demo and the grueling interview, i headed straight to AMA Computer University to visit my best friend, it turns out, she's the OIC Dean for the day, sweet! when lunch arrived, I had the chance to eat with her and we talked about everything we missed for the past month. I was glad to hear she missed me and I do miss her too, she's my dearest best friend after all (contradicting to the rumors out there). I accompanied her to the dean's office after eating and helped in some of the work, for the other "loyal to magaling" didn't even dare to help her. After sometime, Ihan texted me that I'll try to give my resume to Informatics and I bid farewell to my best friend and headed to Informatics and gave my resume and was interviewed by the program head. They will call me next week about the results. Overall it was a great day.

New Found Friends
I finally accepted the fact that I found the one who can accept me for who I am but destiny is too cruel and took her away. I can no longer communicate with my best friend as of now but destiny played with me again..
After the work out in Fitness First, Neo, Tristan and I decided to eat at SM North Hypermarket. Neo was approached by his long time friend, her name is Joanne, with her was her friend and co-worker Marifel. They work as proctors during bar and board exams which I think is cool. We decided to hang out at Ice Monster and talked about anything. Joanne made a sweet message on a cigarette carton (she even called me "Daddy Mamoy") and I replied a letter on a tissue paper (sorry we were out of writing materials). Then heavy rain poured down (why am I not surprised?) We battled the rain even though we got wet and heeded to Neo's car where we bid farewell to our new found friends. I may not find another Bessy but I am open into a new friendship.

Multi-level Networking Company
Ihan wanted me to accompany him to Ortigas for someone invited him to a business symposium that turns out to be a networking scam.
I don't want to give the name of the "multi-level network" but I will narrate the story on what happened on Burgundy Bldg., 3rd floor...
Ihan texted me last Wednesday to accompany him on May 26 on a business symposium, being a good friend, I accepted.
This was the text that Ihan recieved as an invitation:
Greetings!
This is ****** ******* of *** ****** INC. We're looking for result oriented individuals who want to work with us on a parttime or fulltime basis and be a part of our expansion program in South East Asia. You are cordially invited to our much awaited Business Symposium on Saturday, May 26, 2007 7pm @ Unit 301 3rd flr AIC Burgundy Empire Tower ADB Ave. Cor. Garnet Road Ortigas Center, Outline of event includes; Business & Livelihood Opportunities, College Scholarship Assistance and a chance for an all expense USA trip with 5 year multiple state entry visa. Come and be part of this once in a lifetime event! Please text in your name/s to reserve seats for free. Thank you and God Bless
Come May 26, today, we rendezvous in front of SM City The Block and entered Ayala TriNoMa because it was more convenient and the rain was pouring . When Ihan was buying the tickets for the MRT, Sir Manny came out of nowhere and greeted me and the three of us boarded the MRT. When we arrived at Ortigas station, we bid farewell to Sir Manny and walked all the way to Robinson's Galleria. Burgundy is just at the back of the said mall so we didn't encountered any difficulties finding it. As we entered the building, my scam senses were tingling and told Ihan to proceed with caution. We rode the elevator and entered the third floor. As we entered the only open door on that floor, we were greeted by hideous amount of tarpaulin placed all over the area. It contains people smiling happily while beside a brand new car or a house and lot, with it, their so-called success story. My scam senses were right, this is definitely a multi-level marketing company and we walked right into their trap..
We were ushered into a "training room" wherein a "professional" talked about the benefits of their product and the toxins in our body and all that stuff just to convince the innocent people, but alas, I found out that 60% of the audience were already members and they accompanied their friends, who were now part of the hypnotic extravaganza. I sensed that Ihan already fell from the hypnotic curse due to the fact that a member was already talking to him, exchanging contact numbers and all, Ihan fell to the dark side. As for me, my IQ resisted the hypnotic curse and decided to leave the room and seached for some coffee, the lovely attendant offered me coffee for a price..Php15..as expected from a multi-level networking company. After 30 mins. the ordeal was over finally. I escorted Ihan back to Robinson's Galleria, but he was never again the same...May God save his soul.

What It Takes to be a Teacher
I visited my beloved school AMA Computer University today and I found out something good.
Even though I'm not a teacher anymore of this school, when I went up today, My former students let me feel home proud they were to be my teacher. I really felt that they had missed me for quite some time and someone even said that AMA would not be the same again because I'm gone. I almost cried into tears because I never knew how I affected their lives for such a small time. I guess that's the true gift I received as a teacher. Not even a fat check can surpass that priceless feeling. They even told me that I had loosen weight, thanks to Fitness First I guess. What it takes to be a teacher? The love of the students will show you that. I miss those guys...

The Psychological Effect of Rain
It's been raining for the past few days here in Quezon City and during my daily trek, I observed something when the rain poured down.
After the routine trip to Fitness First, I strolled around SM North and decided to call it a day and headed home. As I passed the foot bridge (yey pink!) and just right after entering a jeep bound to Project 6, it happened. The rain poured down heavily. The large amounts of raindrops can be heard on the stainless steel roof of the jeep. I gaze upon people running all over the sidewalks as they head for shelter while others opened their umbrellas and walk gleefully on the sidewalk thanking themselves that they brought along an umbrella. Now as the jeep turned left to Mindanao Ave. we were greeted by a very very tight traffic. How the hell that happened? Moments ago, the traffic ran fluidly and now, bumper to bumper traffic is all I can see. Is it because of the rain? Why is it every time the rains pours down, traffic will follow soon after? Are people eager enough to go home and sip a steaming hot coffee or cocoa? Heck, if traffic wasn't enough, you can hear the horns of those impatient drivers honking all over Mindanao Ave. and all of that because of the rain? I'm not a psychologist so I cannot conclude on this human behavior. Anyway, I'm glad to post something about me once in a while, not those recent tech news or whatsoever.
